Not sure what to say?

I was so sad to hear this news. Moya might have been tiny, but she was very much a force of nature.

I treasure the years I was a student at her studio, learning Polynesian dancing. She made sure we practiced the traditional island styles plus some added moves of her own. We had so much fun performing at various shows, fairs and luaus. I still have some of the costumes we wore, some that she taught how to make.

My heart goes out to her family. They should know how much...

I am saddened to learn of Moya Lani’s passing.

My sister Marie Kukula Tyner and I were among Moya Lani’s early dance students, some 45+ years ago. What fun we had, learning to dance with her. We performed at convalescent homes and once at the National Orange Show in San Bernardino. Our families were also friends and I recall babysitting with Teresa and Vikki a few times.

Sending heartfelt condolences and love to Jack and all of the VanderWoude’s, at this sad time. We...

Condolences to the Vander Woude Family and Friends.

I love you my beautiful Mama! Always!♥♥♥

I am heart broken to hear this news but ever so happy she is with our Lord now. I have such amazing memories learning Tahitian dance from her. Performing and many many places. She made us feel so special and was always patient with us when we were having difficulty learning a move or a new dance. Not only in dance class did she create memories but as friends also. Sleepovers and get togethers. I have always thought of her and when we went to Hawaii they were surprise I knew how to do the Poi...

May the love of family and friends carry you through your grief. Sending sympathy, comfort, and love. Paul and Rita Palajac

Rest in peace Moya. I truly enjoyed those years taking my three girls to your tahitian classes and watching them learn to dance. I will always remember you as my children’s beloved, inspiring and invigorating instructor! Condolence to the family!

I had the privilege of dancing with Moira for many years. It was not just dancing she taught, she taught me and other students to be strong and keep moving. Herb helped with the drumming and enjoyed it very much. Moya was extremely smart, talented, and very strong. She could out dance all of us. We will truly miss her.

Moya was a graceful, strong, and amazing person. I had the honor of knowing her in my childhood years as her student. Her kindness was as memorable as her talents as a Polynesian dancer. I will always remember her because of the way she believed in me...in turn, she had me believing in myself. My deepest condolences to her family. Praying for healing during this time of loss.
