Monte holds a special place in my heart. His love for the "ole folks" grandparents, great grandparents, and great uncles was his delight. I remember him faithfully checking on A.D. and Lorine..Papa Savage and grandma... he never took them for grandied and loved their closness. One summer Papa Savage was determined to go Ft.Worth with a load of watermelons and needed Monte to help load them. He was at work and I jumped in to volunteer.
