SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Monty Bruce McNutt, 74, passed away Oct. 27, 2014, at his home in Summerville, South Carolina.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1939, in Greenville, Ohio, to Clem (Tim) and Roseanne (Clark) McNutt.
Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, 1499 N. Broadway. Greenville, Ohio. Memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. officiated by Deacon Tom Graber of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Internment service will follow in Greenville/Union Cemetery.
Monty grew up in Greenville, Ohio, and graduated from Greenville High School, class of 1957. Monty married Constance S. McNutt (Stammen) on May 3, 1958; they were married 56 years.
Monty worked for Ford as a salesperson until his retirement in 1999. One of his greatest joys was country music. Throughout the years, he enjoyed singing and playing guitar as often as he could and would seldom turn down an opportunity to attend or participate in a country music event.
Monty is survived by his wife, Constance McNutt, his three sons, Christopher (Nancy) McNutt, Michael (Colleen) McNutt and James McNutt; his daughter Nancy (Randall) Mescher and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Bill McNutt.
Monty is preceded in death by his son, Patrick McNutt, his parents, Clem and Roseanne McNutt and brothers, Tim McNutt and Rex McNutt.
