Morris Feingold, passed at age 97 in Freehold, New Jersey of heart failure. He was born on August 18, 1914 on Rivington Street, New York to Rose and Abraham Feingold. He is predeceased by his beloved sisters, Bess Fleischman & Etta Garberg. Known affectionately as Maury to his friends and Moishe to his family, he married Florence Tresser, the daughter of a kosher butcher, on June 4, 1939, their deep love for each other truly sustained their long lives through the years. They had a sense of adventure and bravery and that as long as they were together anything could be conquered. Serving with the Red Cross as a PX officer at the end of WWII, he remained in Europe for twelve years living in Frankfurt, Germany, Switzerland, and Paris running his own import/export business. In 1959, the family settled in Jackson, NJ as the proprietor of Howell Lanes until 1978, which remains a family-owned and operated local business. He was the definition of a self-made man, known for his business acumen, kindness and charity. Retiring in Hallandale, FL, they returned to Freehold in 2007 as residents of the Brookside Assisted Living in Freehold.

A devoted family man, Morris is survived by four loving sons and their wives, Stephen and Deborah, Neil and Nicole, Gary and Holly, Jif and Lori; He is survived by his adored grandchildren Jason Kay, Celine, Ross, Liselle, Beth, Adam, Jillian, Jessye and their spouses; He delighted in the arrival of so many great-grandchildren Sarah, William, Genevieve, Mason, Vivian, Lucas and Maxwell.

Services will be held Sunday, March 24 at 11am at the Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, 44 Wilson Avenue in Manalapan. Having memories of extreme hunger in his childhood and during the depression, a fitting tribute would be donations to the Food Bank of Monmouth County in lieu of flowers.
