Marvin Feingold (1932-2025) passed away peacefully on his 93rd birthday, August 17, 2025, surrounded by family at Hebrew Senior Life in Dedham, MA.
Born in Brooklyn, NY to David and Fanny Feingold, he spent much of his life in Lawrence Massachusetts where he was the owner of Marv's Window Cleaning. He met his wife Dorothy at a Friday night dance at Fort Devens where he was stationed as a member of the US Army. They married in 1956 and together they raised 3 children, David, Robin and Lisa, in a loving home on Tower Hill.
Marv was known throughout Lawrence, Methuen and Andover working for many families and businesses in the Merrimack Valley. Numerous families welcomed him into their homes and were always ready with a hot cup of coffee, a blueberry muffin and shared updates on family and children.
On game day, you would always find Marv and Dorothy at the gym or softball field cheering loudly for his daughters. He would light up hearing his son talk about his travels and time living in Japan. He always put family first.
Marv was known for his generosity and kindness and lived each day focused on the needs of others. Whatever Marv had, he was quick to offer it to others be it money for his children and their friends, food on his plate and the clothes that were on his back.
Marv is survived by his children, David, Robin and Lisa (Judy) and his grandchildren, Sam, Maggie, Sarah, Stacia, Matthew and Renato and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, parents, David and Fanny, brother Herman (Phyllis), and sisters Sally (Jack), Francis (Irving), Rachel (Henny), Harriet (Paul) and Eleanor (Lou).
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22nd at 11 am at the Temple Emanuel Cemetery, 202 Mt. Vernon Street, Lawrence, Ma.
Marv always had something nice to say about everyone, welcomed all into his home, had the greatest smile and was extremely proud of all of his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
