Mr. Hoffman(I always called him that) was my friend and role model. Carol and I have been friends since we were 5, and Mr. Hoffman was the perfectly quintessential father, husband, friend, and ethical example of what we should emulate. If more people were like him, this would, indeed, be a beautifully kind world. He will be greatly missed.

Today is a very sad day for me. I just learned (via the Denver Post Obits online - catching up for the past two months) that your father has recently passed. I send my very deepest condolences to all of you for your loss.
