Mort. I will never forget you and our friendship. You entrusted myself and my kids with your beloved tree that you grew from a cutting you got many many years ago, and we will make sure it lives on for you just like you wanted in the letter you wrote about it. I had the pleasure of visiting Morty with my dog Hugo back in 2018/2019. Then Covid hit and we couldn't visit. Before we could visit again Hugo passed and we got a new puppy. We gave him a very special name, "Morty". Morty (the man) was thrilled to have a canine namesake! We had several lovely visits with him. He lived an exciting life and he surely loved dogs. The friendship of our group started with the Track team at Madison HS. We trained together, competed, and won or lost but always cheering to the end. We continued the friendship years later with 13 yearly reunions in Las Vegas. Oh, how we looked forward to a week with wives and family. Morty & Beryl always a nucleus of group activity. Memories can never be erased.
