Not sure what to say?

I can´t believe a year has gone by already. Mort is missed so much. He was such a kind and generous man, and he touched everyone he met with his generosity, kindness and humor. Sending Susan and the entire Rumberg family much love and peace. In friendship, Frank, Nancy and Victoria Velez.

Such a fine and modest man. Such a kind man. I knew Mort through the Jewish Genealogical Society of Sacramento. My condolences to Mort´s family on their loss. May Mort´s memory be for a blessing.

Mort enjoyed helping others learn about their ancestors. Last year, he volunteered for several days at the National Genealogical Society´s conference.

Mort was a mensch among menschen, a humble man of great accomplishment who gave much to his friends, family, and community. May we strive to emulate his example, to try to fill even a small part of the hole his passing leaves.

Single Memorial Tree

Mort was so welcoming to all and an engaging conversationalist. I enjoyed his sense of humor. He was a treasure to know, an inspiration to so many. He was a great leader. I value having known Mort.

Mort was my special friend/family, along with Susan, here in Sacramento. We all shared wonderful, warm times together, first as neighbors, then as friends, continuing to a close "family" relationship. I was so fortunate to spend time with him on several occasions near the end. He was alert, filled with humor, and the same old Mort in spirit, even as his body was not functioning well. Words can't express the huge loss I, and others, feel, now that we can't be physically together. Mort lives on...

Mort was such a cool guy. Always smiling and laughing, never without another great story to share. He left the world a better place, which is what we should all strive to achieve.

Our warmest sympathy and deepest condolences for the passing of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. May his memory be eternal and may his wonderful life inspire you all in the journey of yours. With loving thoughts and prayers,
