Not sure what to say?

As Murray and Adrian's neighbor in Tenafly for many years, my memory of both of them remains very clear- helpful, kind, warm and loving. I ran into Muarry several years ago at a concert in Connecticut and it was a delightful and coincidental meeting. Lori and Jenn- please contact me if you would. It would be great to be back in touch. Adam and both of my parents join me in wishing you the best. Eric

With all my love and respect

I'm really sad to hear this. I was a patient of Dr. Meltzer and I was lucky to find him. As all have said, kind, gentle, knowledgeable and thorough. I'd like to share a story that makes me smile: I came to him after a harmless looking growth on my eyelid turned out to be a rare cancer. He performed my full excision (and by the way removed the stitches so gently with tweezers as to not hurt me). When I came in for my surgical follow up, he said "first, the good news" (just like you would say...

I was so very saddened to hear about Dr. Meltzer's death. He was my ophthalmologist for nearly 35 years and I always felt safe in his care because he was such a fine diagnostician. And as important to me was his being such a sensitive and kind man. Our visits always ended with a shared and heart-felt hug. My wish is that each day brings comfort to his family and friends in that a happy memory of him is remembered and stored in their hearts.
Sincerely, Hope Chasin

Murray was a friend on and off the tennis court at Woodridge Lake for many years but still too short a time. A powerfully gentle man whose memory brings a smile to my face.

To my dear friend and Tennis partner at Woodridge Lake, you will always be remembered as a great competitor on and off the court.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to Dr. Meltzer's family. As this initial period of mourning comes to a close, I hope that friends or even one of Murray and Adrian's daughters will contact me to discuss a further written tribute for purposes as described below. (I may be reached at [email protected]).

So sorry to hear about Murray's passing last night from Danny. We consulted with him when Gary was diagnosed with RP. He gave us advice as to where he should be seen.
Though I haven't seen you all in MANY YEARS, it still was sad to hear this news. Sending you all my sincerest sympathy at this tough time.

He will always be in your heart and memories. Warmest sympathies. The Anastassiou Family
