Just keeping the memories alive of my USN student. You were such a joy to know as a student and an individual. I was so very proud when I learned that you were going into education. From the very first time I met Myrna, I knew she loved her students, her profession of teaching science and everyone else with whom she worked.

My son, Jay, was a current student in her Science 8 class and my daughter had her a few years back. It is the only class my son had an "A" in and my daughter has gone on to take advanced Chemistry and Physics in high school so she can pursue a science degree in college.

Myna will be sorely missed. She was a caring teacher, very student oriented, and it was evident to all that she loved teaching. Always with a smile, I have fond memories of her going back and forth classrooms in the science hall, working with her students as they were taking data for the CO2 car races in the hall! I was privileged to know Myrna through my sister, who taught with her at Cooper. She was more like a member of our family. The wonderful legacy she leaves will, I hope, in time soften the pain.
