I fell in love with your dear mother when she came to stay at Stone Brooke. She always had a smile and we shared a laugh often about many things. I loved to tease and joke with her. I loved how she took everything in stride. When she first heard me sing at the residents birthday party at Stone Brooke she never let me forget how much she enjoyed it. She often asked when I would sing again. I loved to hear her tell about how she and Buddy met and fell in love. After I left Stone Brooke and she began to come to Sunday School and church at Bradley Baptist she and I were overjoyed that we knew each other. They last time I saw her we talked about how much we missed seeing each other. I will miss her so much but I know that she is rejoicing with the Father now. Take comfort in knowing you will be with her again one day. I will be praying for your family during this time. God Bless you all.

Joy and family,
When I read about your sweet mother on Thursday, I instantly remembered so many fun conversations with her at the hair salon...we became good friends there since we were always on the same schedule for many years. I loved hearing about all of you, her Buddy, and trips...when I began a new career a little over 10 years ago that involves traveling all over Georgia, she taught me the best way to Columbus (preGPS days). I still think of her each time I am on that route. I wish I had known she had moved to Stonebrook, because I would have gone to visit with her on my journeys through Gray. I never remember seeing her down...such an enthusiasm for life! There is no doubt that there is a vacuum in your heart that only she could fill, but what blessed memories you must have with such a delightful person as a mother. I did not know that you live in Perry...it would be lovely to see you again.

Joy,
My prayers are with you during this time.
I will always remember your mother's warm smile and loving spirit when we were members at Cross Keys (such a long time ago). And your daddy passing out bulletins. I will always cherish those wonderful times we had together. Their Christian faith and walk was truly an inspiration for many people. They will be missed by all.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Myrtle. I met Myrtle and Buddy when they both were patients at rehab. We became instant friends. She had a precious personality and will be missed. She missed Buddy greatly when he passed. They were very proud of their children and grandchildren. I have moved to Tennessee, but will always remember her smile and laughter.I always called Buddy "Clark Gable", because he looked so much like him. It always made them both laugh.
God bless you all.
