MYRTLE RESTLY

Myrtle M. Restly   (Age 94)  
Of North Palm Beach, Florida and formerly of College Park, Maryland passed away peacefully on July 14, 2018 at the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center. A native of Berlin, Maryland, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Teresa and George Willis. She was predeceased by Don Restly, her husband of 65 years. Upon her retirement from the Physics and Astronomy Department of the University of Maryland, she and Don moved to Florida and settled in North Palm Beach. Myrtle was a devout Catholic and member of St. Clare Catholic Church. Until recent years, she was a volunteer poll worker for local and national elections. She was also active in packing care packages for troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. She is survived by sons, Michael W. Restly (Colette) of Jupiter, Florida, Donald P. Restly, Jr. (Tracy) of Severn, Maryland, grandchildren, Dana Restly, Kyle Restly, Tara Shea (Brian), Brendan Restly, great-grandchildren, Logan Restly, Samantha Jane Burton, Brook Burton, Hadley Shea and numerous nieces and nephews. To commemorate Myrtle's deep love for the church, the poor and patriotism, the family requests any memorial donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Clare Catholic Church in North Palm Beach or any local organization distributing packages for the troops overseas. Myrtle will be remembered by the many lives she touched, and friends she kept in touch with over the years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clare Catholic Church, 821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, Florida 33408 at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018. Interment to follow at the South Florida National Veterans Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
