Dear Pollard and Pennock families. All of Ben Pollard's associates at Georgia State University send our love and condolences to each of you. The Pollards are wonderful people, and we know much of that emanated from Ben's Mom. We are grateful for her remarkable legacy, now carried forward by all who knew and loved her. It was so uplifting to see you at church on Sunday mornings sitting in the pew in front of me greeting everyone that you met with that beautiful smile and your sweet spirit!! My dearest Bert. You became a part of my life while living in Amarillo. In my eyes, you were like a second mother. After God moved you both back to Lubbock, I still had those strong feelings about you. You and Dave have always meant the world to me and you still will even while you're with our father God.
