I met Nancy and Laton while working at a neighborhood Italian restaurant (Bella Luna in the UWS) They were regulars there and from the first time meeting them, we had a genuine connection. Weeks after, I was lucky enough to hear the story of their love, from the beginning when Laton was in Yale. It was such a beautiful and inspiring story that really gave me hope, and made me remember numerous times after, till this day. To me Nancy was one of the most gentile souls, and it was so apparent...

I met Nancy at Cafe Wyoming in Dubois, and though our interactions were brief, she left a permanent impression on my heart. What a genuine, kind and generous woman. Sorry to hear of her passing. I will carry thoughts of her with me always.
