Aunt Nan--so bright, beautiful, and full of fun and spirit—we will all miss her so much. We will treasure the many happy memories of summertime with Nan—berry picking, cobbler eating, picnics and potlucks, old fashioned tea parties, the annual “ladies' lunch,” “clanniversaries,” shopping for treasures in downtown Andes, and just quiet visits enjoying Puddingstone and Perch Lake vistas. Nan's enthusiasm, curiosity, love of family and good traditions, and ease of finding joy in so many things (great and small) will always be an inspiration.

Much love to Uncle Wy, Gary, Gail, Pam, and all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. We wish we could be with you all this weekend.

Mrs. Myers was a beacon of light to the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, and to Palm Beach County. Her guidance led our organization to a new level of esteem and accreditation, and opened a door to the young and inquisitive minds of Palm Beach County. It is with great respect that we honor her passing.

A Birthday Poem to Mom from Gary
September 1, 2005

Dawn brings another morning,
Fog lifts with sun's first warming.
Fresh air makes senses keen;
Clear, crisp, cool, clean.
Piney scents fill the chest,
Chipmunk scurries, no time to rest!

Grand vistas soothe the eye
While mountain streams tumble by.
Through the forest hikers march,
Past hickory, ash, maple and birch.
These deep woods feel like home,
Smells of rich, dark brown loam.

Friends and family having fun,
Shadows grow, day is done.
Busy kitchen making meals,
How good it smells, how good it feels!
Steak, salad, sliced tomatoes,
Garlic bread and mashed potatoes.

Wood is split, matches strike,
A roaring fire is what we like!
Twisting smoke, leaping flame
The feeling here's always the same.
As glowing hearth warms the night,
All is well, all is right.

Auntie Nan was a beautiful grace-filled woman who will be greatly missed by us. She had the gift of hospitality and added her special touches to our summer family gatherings. Her wild-flower arrangements were a match for Mother Nature, her warm smile and frequent laughter were ever present. We loved her and appreciated her and will be glad forever she was part of our lives.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Nancy but feel like I knew what a wonderful mother she was through my dear friend & neighbor Pam. Just from reading of all of her accomplishments I can tell what an outstanding woman she was. My thoughts & prayers are with Pam & all of her family.

I had the joy of working with Nancy at the Museum for 10 years. She was a beautiful woman with endless energy and devotion to the children. She was not only a "donor" in the traditional sense, but one who put words to action every day. I will remember her parenting advice, her welcoming smile every single day, and sense of humor most of all. Wyckoff, Lee and I send our love and thoughts to you all. She was Heaven-sent and is home again now.
