Nancy R. Nelson

This has been a day of remembering. After all this time I have stumbled across the obituaries of three members of the same family: Alvin Nelson, Eric Nelson, and now Nancy Nelson. I was a close childhood friend of Mrs. Nelson´s daughter, Vickie. Mrs. Nelson was a very generous, outgoing and fun-loving person. Nancy, you are still remembered and your spirit for Nursing and the University of Michigan lives on. Go Blue!

To Nancy's family, I was sorry to hear about Nancy's death. She has been a champion for University of Michigan Nurses and the University in general for decades. She was executive director of the Nurses Alumni Association for years and a great steward of preservation of nursing history.
