She knew my mother was sick and she always asked about her--which meant a lot to me. Time went by, and I got a call from her daughter, saying Naomi had passed away. She said Naomi would like me to play my song, "Come on Down to Waretown," at her funeral. I was happy to oblige. She was a dear, sweet...

We met Naomi at the Albert Music Hall in 2007 when she was featured in our book, People of the Pines. During the interview she talked about the early days of the Piney music at the "Home Place" and about how she'd "rather dance than eat!". She was such a sweet lady and we loved her spunk and that twinkle in her eye. She'll be missed at the Music Hall for sure, but we'd like to think that she's in heaven dancing to the music of the Pineconers. Godspeed, Naomi.

I didn't know Naomi long...but the little time I did.know her...found her to be a sweet...loving...wonderful woman...Rest in Peace Naomi...my deepest sympathies to the entire family...

I love you Gram, rest in peace sweetie, your grandson Little Ray.
