Naples, FL
Natalie L. Cantor of Naples, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Natalie lived to be 96 years old and spent forty-seven years living in Naples. Natalie died at home comforted by her compassionate care givers Elizabeth Radi and Kristel Sulser, and her son Gregg. Natalie is survived by her sons Dr. Jeffrey Steven Cantor, DDS, Gregg Cantor, her daughter-in-law Deborah Bartlett Cantor, and her grandchildren Ashley Arielle Cantor and Bartlett Michael Cantor and his wife Mayelyn.
Natalie and her husband "Bernie" arrived in Naples in 1970 and opened the woman's clothing store The Ultimate Look. The Ultimate Look was located on the Tamiami Trail directly across from the Coastland Mall, and a couple yards away from the original Mama Mia's pizza.
Natalie and Bernie had decades of experience in clothing retail from their work in Washington, D.C. and Mount Vernon, New York. Natalie was an excellent clothier, seamstress, and sales lady. Customers would come into the Ultimate Look and say, "Where is Natalie? I need her to pick out an outfit for me!"
Natalie and Bernie were social members of Quail Creek Country Club. Natalie never played sports in her entire life, but before she retired she took up tennis at Quail Creek. She was a competitor on the court and enjoyed trying to win at tennis.
At Quail Creek she did find something that she could win even if it was not on the tennis court. Natalie was the best Easter basket maker and she won (on multiple occasions) the award for the "Most Creative Easter Basket"! This was quite an achievement for a lady whose mother and father were Yiddish speaking Russian Jews!
A ceremony will be held at Hodges Funeral Home on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 2PM. All those folks who want to remember her are welcome to attend. I would like to meet you and hear your stories.

I always enjoyed her company.

I did not know Natalie. I knew Bernie real well. He was a kind gentle soul who always had a nice word, except when he did not. He would always try to give me a lesson in basic economics.
He and Paul Bell were the best of Naples's early denizens and both were in the garment business.
