Natalie Schall Obituary

Natalie Sue Thompson Schall, 53, of Elizabethtown, passed away Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, after a 2½-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Natalie graduated valedictorian from West Hardin High School in 1987. She went on to receive her M.A. in accounting from the University of Kentucky. She later became a Buckeye and adored the lifelong friends she made while in Ohio. After moving back to her hometown, Natalie worked for seven years at Venminder, where she was cherished by her co-workers. She often could be seen cheering on her alma mater during basketball games or hosting gatherings for friends and family at her home. Natalie will be remembered as a devout Catholic and a woman strong in her faith. Her family would like to thank her many friends for their constant love, support and prayers.

She is survived by her husband of 27½ years, Dr. Gregory Schall of Cecilia; two sons, Garrett Schall and Jack Schall; one daughter, Emma Schall; her parents, Bill and Jeanie Thompson; two brothers, Mark (Lisa) Thompson and Matt (Stephanie) Thompson; three sisters, Tonya (Bobby) Norris, Mary (Eric) Howard and Julie Latham; her in-laws, William and Carol Schall; brothers-in-law, Ken (Cheryl) Schall and Chris (Sally) Schall; one sister-in-law, Susan (Gary) Morrison; and her nieces and nephews, Alex (Taylor), Olivia, Stephen, Jacob, Carly, Ally, Jude, Mackenzie, Molly, Macy, Reid, Jonathon and Caroline.

The memorial service is at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Cecilia. Burial follows in St. John Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose.

Thompsons,
Natalie was a great student and young lady. I have many fond memories of her as a student of mine @ Howevalley. Remember her for all the joy she brought to this world and all the contributions she made to make life on Earth a better place for all. I am deeply saddened by her passing as are all persons who were blessed to have known her. May she rest in peace.
