To the family of Petty Officer 3rd Class Nathan B. Bruckenthal:

Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for his bravery and selflessness, or the heartache we feel for your loss. God bless and keep you always.

Just reading this today, May 11, 2010, breaks my heart. Even as years have past, I am sure the pain is still there but we have to hold onto the memories until we see our loved ones again. My son, Mike Sawyer (Dallas, GA), also served in the US Coast Guard and was stationed in Homer, Alaska. My heart goes out to you all and I will keep you in my prayers.
