Neela Kay Paige

Always a joy to encounter. Invariably outgoing, positive and helpful. Indeed, just the sort of individual to help students and faculty navigate the admissions process. She will be missed, but that infectious smile and willingness to help live on.

Neela's smile and laughter lit up UVic Law. She was a wonderfully kind and empathetic person and a fabulous admissions officer. You will be so missed!! My sympathies to Neela's family and legion of friends.

Her beautiful smile would always light up the Frazer Building, and it lives on in our memories of her. Rest in peace.

I feel grateful to have known and worked with Neela; she approached her time at the admissions office with both responsibility and joy; and it resonated. She and Janet were forces of nature. Love to all her family and friends.

Neela made me feel very welcome when I first started working in the UVic Law Building and I often heard laughter and fun emanating from her part of the office. I am grateful to have walked with her in friendship over these past almost 30 years. It is with great sadness that learned of your passing Neela. I miss you, dear friend.

Neela was a wonderfully warm and capable person who encouraged and enabled hundreds of applicants to come to UVic Law. Indeed, both as a professor and as dean, I regularly heard from students that it was Neela who persuaded them to choose UVic over other law schools. She will indeed be remembered fondly and missed by many!
