Nellie C. Yarborough

Bishop was a straight shooter for the Kingdom! A few years ago, Bishop looked at me and said "Pastor Russell you seemed to have become nicer in our Pastors meeting!" And I thought I had been nice all these years! I brought Bishop Nellie to Winston Salem to preach in the early 2000's for Mother Clouds Day and all the old Mount Calvary pioneers were truly blessed! Bishop will be missed!

I appreciate this great woman of God who was never afraid to give young preachers a chance to minister. Whatever she had, she shared... she was a woman of God no matter where she was at... and she saw me as one of her sons in the gospel. I love you for the structure you gave me! Rejoice in your new home, not made with hands, yet eternal in the heavens... I will rejoin you at the appointed time!!!

Your candor, demeanor and holiness displayed in your lifestyle set the tone for women in ministry all over the country. I am so blessed to know and have been known by you. Take your rest, you have done your BEST!

Bishop Nellie C. Yarborough, to me, was Mama Nellie. SHe was my dear friend, my pastor, a mother to me. I thank God for the many moments that we shared. May God bless you all.
