Nestor B. Procyk

My friendship with Nestor began in 7th grade at Nardin Academy and continued through Canisius HS. I remember his cousin(?) Donald Martinovich was also a classmate at Nardin. I was also an occasional guest in the Procyk home on West Ferry and was acquainted with his parents and sisters. Despite his physical challenges Nestor was a whole and compassionate person as well as a genius like his father. My deepest condolence to Procyk family

Nestor and I were friends at Canisius High School, class of 1970. We lost touch over the years, but I remember him beating me at chess and showing me his plans to build a liquid-fueled rocket. I wish that I had helped him find a rocket club. I was terrified that he was going to blow himself to smithereens if he ever tried to build any of his designs. Prayers for him and for the whole family.
