Newton L. Hazell

I thank my Unc for being there for our fam when my dad, his younger bro Ernest passed 14 years prior. My bros and I appreciated the support on coming down to Maryland for the memorial at the time. He also brought a brief case filled with personal items and letters ( I just read some of them yesterday) from my dad to give to me and my siblings during this time. Newton was a great guy and well liked. I grew up about 9 houses from his family home in Perth Amboy, N.J. and his younger brother Ernest, was one of my best friends. I didn't see Newton that often because I live in Washington, D.C.

One of the talents that not many people were aware of was that Newton was a very good amateur boxer. I used to watch him train.
