Not sure what to say?

From day one, Eco. Mr. E. was and still is my favorite teacher. We looked forward to every class my junior year. He gave us all endearing nicknames, and incorporated comedy and laughter into every lesson. He made that year of high-school one I'll never forget, from his stories or shenanigans in class, everyone agreed, he was a legend among teachers at Lyman Hall. He's one of the only teachers I snuck back in school to visit, even a year later he remembered us, called us by our nicknames and...

I was a roommate of Nick´s at Central Connecticut in the early 70´s. I went West after graduating in `73 and never saw Nick again. I do remember some great touch football games in our backyard and a host of laughs as Nick´s roommate with four other guys. My girlfriend, Chris, visited Central often and our favorite memory was the farewell party to the house we rented across from the old Student Center as it was to be leveled in `72. Nick was always someone you could trust and certainly have a...

In 1975 our powder puff football team somehow came up with the idea to get Coach E a dog. Janet Hurley and I went to animal haven in north haven and picked out this cute pup . Coach named her Puff and I actually believe they were in his picture gallery I just watched. I remember the last timeI saw coach. My twin Margaret Ann and I were celebrating our birthday with family in Northford at the little breakfast joint. We both went up to say Hi and have a quick chat. I enjoyed knowing him and...

I knew Nick through the Democrats. I didn't know him well, but he was always kind, polite, sincere, but also a good sense of humor. I only found out about your loss the other day, but thought I would share here.

Nick, obviously was a pioneer and legend for girl's basketball in the State of Connecticut, and across the USA. He was a fine educator, effective board of Education member and supportive Town Council member after he retired. he was forthright, honest, caring and passionate man. His wife Sue worked for me in the Compensatory Education Dept. and she was one of the most effective teachers working with marginal at risk students. I enjoyed our conversations at the Wallingford Y when we were there...

Sincere condolences to the family and friends. Incredibly thankful for the opportunity to learn and work with him during summers at camps and events. First time coaching as a high school senior at a CT Starters camp and have been coaching ever since. Such a respect and admiration I have that I cannot truly express. I would say thank you everytime I saw him which would be when Jimmy and I would have a game or scrimmage. I wish blessings to all of his family and may they be comforted in this...
