Not sure what to say?

I just learned of Nick´s loss and am so sorry for all who loved him. Chris Flynn, you were prime suspect in all his New London stories, so I´ll follow your lead: Abused Topsiders Sister Lorrie´s "WFOS!" prom ride "Dahk Hahbah" (pipe/Borkum Riff) Todd Rundgren´s Something/Anything album Florida oranges in the dead of winter Tuck shop Our pizza business Desperate half mile sprint streaking Annhurst Women´s college (Spring ´74, look it up) How we met in study hall Slim Jims in Miss...

Nick and I both graduated from Pomfret School and Tulane. On my trip to visit Tulane as a high school senior, Nick took care of me and showed my the value of a Tulane education and appreciation for New Orleans. It´s because of Nick I went to I chose Tulane and the rest was history. I met my wife there and Tulane prepared me for a successful career and great family life since. Thank you Nick for guiding a young 18 year old in the right direction. God bless and RIP Tommy D

I knew that Nick had been in ill health for several years, but his death caught me by surprise. My heartfelt Condolences to you Nick, Lorrie, family and friends. Such good memories of Nick. He hired my daughter, Donna, at West End Cafe after she moved back to New Orleans. He refused to let Dickie or Zeke remove the record LOLA from the jukebox. My husband Don and I ate there several times a week and when we walked in, the record was playing with Zeke singing loudly along.. L-O-L-A,...

Nick and All LaCours, Always sad to learn of the passing of a childhood friend, remembering the 60s and 70s and all the fun times we had between Hillside, Guthrie, Pequot, Rayburn/Reyquinn (cowshed, Charlie?), Lower Blvd and beyond. Trip to Abbot's in Noank in the Boston Whaler, with Evinrude 33, out to West Harbor Fisher's Island, I think we could outrun USCG 40 footers with twin 250 diesels, not that we had to? Shooting into Smith Cove, Quaker Hill, best water skiing, "glass", and blue...

Nick, you were a great friend to me and my family. We always looked forward to seeing you on Fridays at Nick's on Carrollton. My daughters still talk about how much they enjoyed your cooking lessons and hanging out in the kitchen with Monkey (Richard) and Kendall. Your the last of a great New Orleans legacy. I hope and pray that you, Dickie, Carl, and Joey open a Fat Harry's in Heaven... keep a barstool open for me. My prayers and condolences to little Nick and the family.

From Nick's Hometown - New London, Connecticut. Nicholas - A great Son,Brother,Friend and Father. We miss you, Nick !

Sorry to hear about Mick´s passing. He was a very good chef, and a very nice guy.
