Not sure what to say?

Was thinking of Cpl Rapavi. Just wanted to stop by.

Today, I remember Nick and his bravery. I will pray for his family today as they lovingly remember his selflessness as a true hero for our country. God bless you Rapavi family. We met at bootcamp graduation. I will never forget meeting your beautiful family.

I went to high school with Nick at Hayfield Secondary, Class of 2000 in Army JROTC. I didn't know Nick very well but I was saddened to hear of his loss and visited his grave at ANC when I started work in Arlington, Virginia.

May his memory never die and to all the fallen during the Global War on Terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

One life, given in service to his country, has touched people you do not know. His sacrifice has impacted so many lives and the ripple effect only recently hit me. To Nick's family and friends I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for your sacrifice. You are not alone in your grief. He will not be forgotten. Semper Fi.

Once again, remembering Nick and other American veterans who paid the ultimate price. As the Bible tells us, there is no greater love than that of a man that lays his life down to save another's. Thank you, Nick.

Nick and my son, Stephen were friends when they were young. He was always friendly, polite and just a plain good kid.
I've seen your vehicle with Nick's hero ribbon on the back and the "Nichlas" license plate. Made me sad all over again and I said prayer for him and his family.

To the family of Nick Rapavi,
Remembering you all this week as Nick's birthday nears. He was a good friend to my daughter Kelly Walsh and we have never forgotten him. Whenever we are in the DC area we make a point of visiting 2 places--Arlington National Cemetery where we know, unfortunately, several of our fallen heroes and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, where Kelly's brother Brian Walsh is honored (we lost Brian in 2010 in a line of duty death). We understand your loss...

Sometimes I can barely remember "those days" and I feel way older than I am. Then you pop into my head and it's like we're at the beach house again, going to play pool, or on the way to someone's 21st birthday party, and all I see is your beautiful smile.

Dear Nick, my guardian angel,

I miss you very much cousin. Your love and sacrifice for your country, family, and friends is inspiring and will never be forgotten. You are proof of God's love for all of us. I just want you to know that you make me stronger and give me so much faith. I know you are watching over all of us. Praying and thinking about you!

Love you so much,
Emily
