My Uncle Nicky, my godfather, will always have a special place in my heart. He had the gift of making a child feel that the time he spent with that child took precedence over everything else. I can still see him performing his special magic trick. He would say "Hocus Pocus" over a whole banana. He would then peel the banana and it would be perfectly halved.
