Meredith, we are so sorry for your loss. Nick was such a wonderful man and we are so honored to have known him for so many years. His smile would light up a room. It has been so many years ago when I met Meredith, Debbie, Tammy, and Nick at the Loyal Oak Swim Club. We went every weekend until they closed. I would run into Meredith off and on after that. I just saw Nick and Meredith a couple of months ago at the Huntington Bank in Barberton. My sympathy goes out to her and Debbie and Tammy and their families.

In this beautiful obit covering Nick's life, one thing was left out . . . Nick's devotion to his mother-in-law, Alberta Hawse. In the Book of Ruth, when she said to her mother-in-law, " . . . your people shall be my people, and your God my God," THAT was what Nick lived out in helping Meredith, Tammy and Debbie look after her needs.
