What a fantastic team you were – are! You were able to take a fledgling Public Affairs office in Independence and make it work by taking the message of the Church through the Midwest and western Canada. But I will especially remember the once-in-a-lifetime memory of recreating the exodus from Nauvoo and the Sesquicentennial trek . It wouldn't have been so successful without your hard work. I feel that I have had two Mothers move on to the other side. I cannot help but feel that my Mother, who passed away just before I went to Cumorah and had her "adopt" me, has embraced Nila and with much knowledge and appreciation thanked her for helping to raise me.
I will be forever grateful for the blessing of knowing her and feeling loved by her.
