Not sure what to say?

Ah the memories of Mrs. Clifford.

My Mom, (Sally McWalters Conroy, R.I.P.) was also from Ireland. A special connection for them & so many others who came to San Francisco.

Oh the long conversations on Clement Street, at Star of the Sea School, & Star of the Sea Academy, with Mrs. Clifford laughing.

I send my love & prayers at this sad time to the Clifford and O'Shea families in particular.

I first met my Aunt Nora on a trip she made to Ireland (either the late '70s or early '80s). She told me that she'd first left Ireland for America forty years before. I asked her when she had last visited the "Old Sod" and she told me she had never been back before. You could never tell from her lilting Kerry brogue. I got to spend more time with her on my only trip to San Francisco so far, in 1988, when she generously put me up at her house. It was just before Thanksgiving and she was...

I fondly recall seeing lovely Nora just a few months ago sitting at a table surrounded by her family who were obviously eager to be near her and quickly attend to her every need. She did not ask for much, but the family was ready if she had. She was adored and will be sorely missed by her family and those that considered her family.

My mom, Bridgie Mullen Donathan, considered Nora her good friend. We never went into Sears without seeking her out to visit. I'm sure she was there to greet her when she reached Heaven.

Clifford Family,

Your mom was a great neighbor, a sincerely kind person & a down-to-earth human being.

I personally loved to chat with your mom when I'd bump into her during her walks in the neighborhood! She was always ready to tell a short story, give a hug & always inquired about my mom!

She will truly be missed.

Your friends always,

Mrs. Kam Low, Dee & Melinda, Peter, William & Lorelie, Beulah & George, Emma & Michael & Alice & Gary.

We will miss Nana Nora very much. I first met Aunt Nora at my brother Billy's wedding in Indianapolis in 1995. She was dressed in a scarlet suit which she was able to carry off with elegance and style aged 76! She was also great craic. I remember thinking what a waste that I had not met this fabulous woman before and I regret that I did not get to spend more time with her. I know she was happiest in the company of her children and her nieces and nephews. When she came to Killarney to see us...

Comfort and condolences to my friend Nuala and all the family and friends who will miss her Mom, Nora. She was there from the beginning and will be with you always carried in your heart.

Goodbye Aunt Nora, we will miss your wonderful sense of humour and hospitality. We are glad you are reunited with your Kathleen and hope ye are having a ball up there.

Love from us all here in Killarney.
