Norberto Mesa Obituary
Norberto Mesa, Sr. 64, born in Glendale, Az passed away to be with the Lord April 21, 2011. Preceded in death by his mother Josephine Lopez and daughter Gina Marie Mesa. He was a loving man and had a heart of gold. He was a construction worker (foreman) for 40 years. His passions included being outdoors camping and fishing. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his two sons Norbert Jr (Cindy) and David Mesa; brothers Ignacio and Edward; sisters Frances, Angie and Mary Helen and ten grandchildren and loving exwife Yolanda Mesa. The Rosary and Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 30, 2011 with Visitation beginning 10:00 am at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ . Interment to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale, AZ. Please visit www.westresthavenfuneralhome.com

There is one less good man in the world now that Norbert is gone. I knew him for over 20 years and cannot recall one offense from my brother in law. He never just said goodbye he always included "I love you". Goodbye Norbert, I love you.

I had the privilege to work with Mesa at CJS and will always remember a song he quizzed me on "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" Now I can put a face to those words. God Bless You.

Norbert was an absolutely great guy. He was fun to be around with and was a very good cool dad. I am so sorry to hear of his loss. He always had something funny to say and make you laugh.

He was a wonderful friend, full of life, quite the kidder, never showing ill will and his dimples always expressing his wonderful smile and personality. To the Mesa Family: I met Mesa through the company that provided concrete to my new home. He was a kind and gentile man that my whole family adored. His smile was his greatest asset. I remember the first time he saw my liquor cabinet and said "You must love drinking"! We laughed hard about it. Rest in peace, Mesa. I will never forget you.

Norbert Mesa was a very valued employee with Curtis Jones & Sons Construction, Inc. for over 20 years and with CJS Enterprises for over 5 years and he will be terribly missed by us all. You could always count on Mesa for a song, a smile and a really good laugh. Mesa please say Hi to Dad, Big Bill and Les and soon enough we will all be together again, until then behave yourselves!

It deeply saddens us to hear about Norberts passing. He was an amazing, kinda and giving person. I speak for myself, my children Alexandria, Thomas and their father Mike when I say, "it was a honor to know him." He was a great neighbor, friend and father figure. He will be greatly missed. To The Mesa Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Norbert will alwyas be remembered as the kind and loving person he was, not just to his family but to his friends as well. Norbert and my dad (Robert Escobedo) were long time dear friends. It was a true honor to know both Norbert and Gina. Although it is hard to see our loved ones pass on, it is comforting to know that Norbert has now reunited with his precious "Baby Girl", Gina who was also a long time friend of mine. Norbert was the best father anyone can ever ask for.
He was giving and loved his children/family till no end. I will forever
miss his beautiful smile, laughter, awesome spaghetti and Christmas Cards.
The 33 years of his friendship I and my family will forever cherish in our hearts.
Thank You Mesa family for allowing me to spend many memorable moments with Gina and the family. I could not have asked for anything more. I am sad to see that he
has returned home but very happy to see him dancing again with his beautiful princess Gina. My prayers are with you during this time of mourning.
