Mrs. Norma Jean Tramble was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Willie Moore and Annie Lee Robinson on October 18, 1935.
Visitation from 4-7 p.m., Monday, February 12 at M.J. Edwards Whitehaven Chapel. Graveside, 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 13 in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
Norma graduated from Manassas High School in 1953 and attended nursing school at Collins Chapel and Shelby State Community College. She went on to have a career in the healthcare field, working for E.H. Crump Hospital, Gailor Clinic, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Memphis and Shelby County Health Department and the Med Trauma Unit. She retired from the health profession in 2000.
She departed this life on February 5, 2018 in Houston, Texas. Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Otis C. Tramble, Sr; her son, Roderick Elmore; her parents, Annie Lee Ledbetter and Arthur Ledbetter; and her father, Willie Moore.
Norma leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Rhonda Bradley (Gerard) of Houston, Texas and Rashunda Tramble of Zurich, Switzerland; three grandchildren, Tracye Davis, Kennika Elmore Ford and Otis Charles Tramble, III; two brothers, Larry Moore (Rose) and Sammy Moore (Regina); four sisters, Brana Dean (Curtis) deceased, Dobbie Moore, Arlester Russell (Nathaniel) deceased, and Carolyn Moore; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mom- Each day I feel your presence. Your warmth and beauty surrounds me. You were so strong in faith. Your peace and love of God was contagious. And you let the ight of God always shined within you. I love you and miss you dearly. The void of not talking to you no less than eight times a day and night that doesnt include the missed calls will never be filled. And the thought of not seeing you just hurts deeply. As you know, I took your advice and saved your voice messages so I could hear your voice and it helps as you said it would, but I still miss you so much.

Dear Rhonda and Rashunda - Personal experiences have shown me that losing a parent is one of the painful parts of life and only faith and time can ease the pain. I've known your mom since we worked together in General Pediatrics at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and became nearby neighbors way back when. We'd still had our occasional phone conversations and chance meetings to talk about old times. I know how much she loved her children and how proud she was of each of you. So saddened to hear of my dear friend and confidante, Norma Jean Tramble's passing. Yet, I know she is secure in God. She is at peace and rest. She was a remarkable woman who I referred to as my "Naomi" and she referred to me as her "Ruth." She had so much wisdom and she loved unconditionally. I learned so much from her. I learned how to be resilient, how to keep standing up in God even when I felt too weak, and I learned how to forgive. May you rest in peace, my dear sweet Norma. I love you forever and always! As she would say every time she answered the phone: "Give God the Glory!"
