OLAF SOLTAU

I am dismayed, deeply sad and so sorry for your loss. I am Olaf`s cousin, my dad and his mother were cousins, I met Olaf at her funeral and stayed in contact until September 2023, when the contact broke. Thought of you many times and miss you.

He will be remembered, always. Olaf was my cousin, his father the older brother of my mother. While I was growing up in the southern part of Germany, we still spent many hours in his Hamburg home with his sister and their parents. I hope that he ultimately found peace. Miss you, buddy.

Unvorstellbar... Zufällig auf diese Seite gekommen. Leider in den Jahren den Kontakt verloren, nicht aber die Gedanken an einen so wertvollen Menschen. Olaf war meinen Kids und mir lange sehr verbunden. Als Nachbarn in HH, bester Freund und als Patenonkel meines Sohnes. Danke für Deine Liebe und Zeit als guter Freund. Wir werden Dich nie vergessen. I am deeply sorry to discover that Olaf has passed away. Today I tried to send him an email, that was returned as undeliverable. We were in loose contact for many years. His parents in Hamburg were my neighbors. I last saw Olaf in Hamburg 5 years ago, when he held a wonderful warm and inspiring speech at his mother's funeral. I really feel sort of devastated.

Dieses Jahr feiern wir hier in Hamburg 35 Jähriges Abitur. Ich bin auf diese Traueranzeige gestossen, weil ich, eine ehemalige Mitschülerin, ihn einladen wollte. Er war ein beliebter, lustiger Junge, mit komödiantischem Talent. Ich hoffe, du hattest ein gutes Leben, Olaf!

i am dismayed to discover lovely Olaf has passed away. We worked together in PR and I ended up staying at his flat in Manhattan when stranded in New York because of 911. We have stayed in touch ever since and I had wondered why he had vanished on facebook. He was one of the cleverest, kindest and best people I have ever known. Very sadly missed
