OLAF SOLTAU

SOLTAU--Olaf, of Manhattan and New Preston, CT, died on Octo- ber 6, 2023. Survived by his spouse, Steven Paggioli; Andrea and Doug Sauer and Joseph and Patricia Paggioli of Connecticut; and Fran and Larry LeFavour of New Hampshire. He is also survived by Dan and Susan McCooe of Connecticut; Patrick, Mary, Charlotte and Dylan McCooe of Boston; Ellen McCooe and Will Styer of Brooklyn; Dean and Jane Sarjeant and family of Connecticut and many more devoted friends and family in New York, Connecticut, the United Kingdom, his native Germany and around the world. He received undergraduate degrees from BMCC and Hunter College of the City of New York and a graduate degree from Columbia University. Olaf worked for many years as an investor relations specialist in the biotech, energy services and investment management industries. He was also a keen, avid and deeply knowledgeable birder and had observed over half of the world's bird species in his many worldwide travels. No services are planned at this time.
