Olene Horton Heasley

I am so saddened to hear of Olene's passing. I was one of the card players that met once a week that included Olene and other classmates from the 1950's. As our group dwindled, she and I continued our yearly subscription to at the Owen theater. She also met with a group of classmates weekly (including myself), at Incredible Pizza for their buffet. Olene was a kind and gentle person with always a friendly smile....

My childhood was amazing due to the love and kindness of sweet Olene Heasley. Mrs. Heasley made me feel like I was part of the family when I would come spend the night with my caring childhood friend, Rouye. Mrs. Heasley was such a sweet and loving mom. I remember her family playing board games, making cookies from scratch and sharing time together. I know Mrs. Heasley taught her children how to love everyone as God loves us.
