Olene Horton Heasley

1935 - 2022

Olene passed away gracefully at the age of 86 on January 29th in her hometown of Conroe, Texas. Olene was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Hollys Heasley and her brother Don "Buck" Horton. Born in Tyler, Texas to Novie and OZ Horton, she moved to Conroe in high school.

Olene was always very friendly and social. She was involved in PTA and various social and service groups including being a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had many friends and belonged to a theater group, a bridge group and a bowling team for many years.

As her children got older, she began her career in Real Estate in Conroe which continued for 30 years.

She is a long-standing member of First Baptist Church in Conroe where she served as GA, Sunday school and VBS leader, sang in the choir and helped with the homeless ministry and the bereavement luncheons.

Always a beauty, Olene was color-coordinated, dressed in a cute outfit and adorned in lot of color coordinated jewelry even on her last days.

Olene leaves a lifetime of love behind for her son and daughter-in law Brett and Sally Heasley, her daughter Holly Arbuckle and her daughter and son in law Rouye and Vern Choquette, sister-in-law Sharon Horton and her beloved grandchildren Nick Arbuckle, Barrett Heasley, Ben Heasley, Claire Choquette and Riley and Braya Choquette. She was also dearly loved by a host of nieces, nephews.

The family invites all to join them for Visitation on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 1:00 pm held in the Hooper Chapel, First Baptist Church Conroe followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.
