Oliver Holmes Easterwood

I worked for over 25 years at GAO with Oliver. He´s one of the few people I ever met that you just smile when you think of him. He was always in a good mood and never complaining about or criticizing anyone or anything. You just always looked forward to seeing him, and I was truly upset to learn of his passing. He will be missed.

Going to really miss you golf partner. We had so many great times together. You were one of a kind. Who would have thought ordinary driving could be a competitive sport? And damnit who is going to do the dishes now?

Lynn, Scott, Valerie, Mike and I cried and then smiled at the memories of those early days at Accotink with young children. So many memories - especially the annual oldies sing-along on your deck. We went to see " The Big Chill" together! Mike remembers late night meetings and Family Retreats with Oliver´s volleyball games at Prince William Park. I'm very sorry to hear of Oliver's passing. Although we were not in the same section, we both worked in the Office of General Counsel at GAO during the same period. I remember him, to use an old-fashioned term, as a gentleman, one who was unfailingly good-humored, always available to help, and determined to do the right thing. Sincere condolences to his family.
