Ora Hubbart Obituary
EAST PEORIA - Ora E. Hubbart Sr., age 82, of East Peoria passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at 7:28 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on June 18, 1936, in Peoria to Ora T. and Lucille (Riley) Hubbart. He married Mary Baker on Aug. 2, 1958, in Peoria. She survives, along with one daughter, Anita (Ken) Campbell of Washington; and three sons, Ora E. Hubbart Jr. of East Peoria, Tim (Dana) Hubbart of Vandalia, IL, and Darrin (Angela) Hubbart of Windermere, FL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, LeAnne, Adam, Justin, Kayla, Matt, Laken, Madison and Bryce; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lois, Gladys and Shirley; and two brothers, Earl and Robert.
Ora worked for Caterpillar, Inc. for 38 years, retiring in 1993. He was active in East Peoria Community Baseball, where he was a former board member and past president.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. David Swain will officiate.
Burial will be in Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Edelstein.
