My condolences to the family of "Van". It was, I believe, somewhere in the late 1950's or in the 1960's that I worked for "Mike's TV" on Merrill St. in Riverside, and would occasionally go to Van's home on Arlington Ave. near what is now the 91 Freeway, to service his television set. I just want to say that I always found him to be a pleasant, friendly person; a real gentleman.
