Actually, I was a classmate & his unofficial trainer - my condolences - - - well i found out only by chance, when i met a school mate ( probably 4 years later in 2009?) , , , , it was a bit sad to hear that he went that far for this to happen; in hindsight i have to admit that i was the one who influenced him the most - but unwillingly - i did visit him in kennesaw in 1989, but i noticed that a lot of the biography had sections missing,, ,, ,, maybe his closest friened/aquaINTANCE could get...

My sister, Phyllis (Johnson)Murphy and I want you to know how saddened we were to learn of Helge's death. Phyllis wants you to know that if you are in Colorado she would love to have you stay with her in Buffalo Creek. I also have a new log house a few hundred yards up the mountain from Phyllis' that you are welcome to use.

While in service of his country during a short-term assignment in Afghanistan, Helge Boes, died in a training accident. A graduate of Georgia State and Harvard Law School, he selflessly left behind a promising position as a lawyer in a top international law firm for a career in public service and in defense of his country.
