Pascal Painter

Pascal (Pat) Painter Born in Gonzalez LA Oct 26, 1920. Pat was called home, Jan. 14, 2013. We imagine the reunion with loved ones was amazing and the thought makes all who loved him smile and feel great peace.
Raised in Ponchatoula La Graduated Ponchatoula High
Volunteered for the Army Air Corp after Pearl Harbor. While stationed in Milwaukee he met Navy Wave Margaret Peck and was married Oct 23, 1943. Two weeks later he was shipped to the South Pacific where he served until after the Japanese surrender. They settled in Milwaukee where their first child, Dale was born 1948 and moved to Houston in 1951. Pat always said, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could!" Texas was his heaven on earth. Their second child, Laura, a 20th wedding anniversary present, was born in 1963. Pat worked for Shell Chemical in Deer Park from 1951 until 1977. He bought a half interest in Cherokee Beach & Campground in Tickfaw, LA until retiring to New Braunfels in 1990. In 2000 they moved back to Houston.
Survived by his wife of 69 years Margaret Painter, Son, Dale his wife Liz and Daughter Laura Reagor, 5 grandchildren, Angela Penrod, Patrick Painter, Charles Tyler, Trevor, and Thomas Reagor and 2 great grand children Caroline and Ryan Penrod. His entire life he has been known for his generosity and helping anyone who was in need...stranger or friend made no difference. Honor, loyalty, and family were the foundation of his character and no one could question his integrity. He was our hero and role model, we each have made decisions throughout our lives to honor his example and good name; he is loved and missed.
