Mr. Bruno was by far one of my favorite teachers. I'll never forget how during a math class he taught us the equation for determining the height of something by dropping something from the peak and counting the seconds until the object hit the bottom. Inserting the number of seconds into the equation gave you the height.

A few days later we went to Shea Stadium to see the Mets with nose bleed tickets. While in the bus on our way home I proudly announced I determined the height...

I was very saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Bruno. May he rest in peace. My deepest sympathy goes out to the Bruno and Van Velthoven families. May God comfort you and give you strength during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My Aunt Marie always speaks so fondly of her brother Pat.Remembering him as a kind, considerate, hardworking, humble person, always willing to lend a hand. She loves him so. always has, always will.

Please know that Mr Bruno is in the thoughts and prayers of so many former students. He was a great teacher, always pushing us to achieve yet maintaining his uncanny sense of humor. He will always be remembered fondly by so very many Cove Road Alumni...my sincere condolences to the Bruno and Van Velthoven families ( I was a childhood friend of Susan's)

My sincere condolences to the family of Pat V. Bruno. He was a great teacher who touched the lives of many students throughout his career in education. I had the privilege of being a student of his in 6th and 8th grade at Cove Road School. He was admired, respected, had a sense of humor. He was a fair man who had a very special way about him. He will be remembered always. May he Rest in Peace.
