Dearest Jean, on this day which has marked the fourth anniversary of your passing I hope and pray you are now in Heaven with Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (whose feast day is precisely October 1st) and my mother, whom you loved so deeply and who died just a couple of months after you. I entrust your soul, together with my mom's soul, to the Lord and Our Lady with the intercession of Saint Thérèse. May you and my mom rest in Peace and rise in Glory

Dear Jean, Thank you so much for being such a wonderful friend to Mom and for being so nice to me. I will never forget your kindness, generosity and faith. May you sleep in peace in the Lord's arms through the intercession of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face

Dear Jean, on the day of the Feast of Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux I have been thinking a lot about you and the second year anniversary of your passing. I asked for a Mass to be said for the repose of your soul here at the Catholic Chaplaincy of the University of Exeter. Hope you are resting in peace in God's arms. Much love, Maria Gisella

One of the last conversations Jean and I had was sharing the joy over seeing five big deer in her sweeping back yard, which for us has always felt like a continuation of our own yard (but much more lovely). That conversation was a symbol in a way of the close community we had on Hickory. And as a...

Thank you, Jean, for your dedicated and enduring friendship as we worked together at MARAD. You sustained an always-positive attitude for work and those around you as you pursued your often challenging assignments. Rest in Peace.
