Dearest Jean, on this day which has marked the fourth anniversary of your passing I hope and pray you are now in Heaven with Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (whose feast day is precisely October 1st) and my mother, whom you loved so deeply and who died just a couple of months after you. I entrust your soul, together with my mom's soul, to the Lord and Our Lady with the intercession of Saint Thérèse. May you and my mom rest in Peace and rise in Glory

Dear Jean, on the day of the Feast of Sainte Thérèse de Lisieux I have been thinking a lot about you and the second year anniversary of your passing. I asked for a Mass to be said for the repose of your soul here at the Catholic Chaplaincy of the University of Exeter. Hope you are resting in peace in God's arms. Much love, Maria Gisella

Condolences to Jean's family. Jean/Pat was an enduring presence on Hickory Ave. Our daughters grew up hearing your cheerful voice and your special cackle. We all will miss our next-door neighbor. One of the last conversations Jean and I had was sharing the joy over seeing five big deer in her sweeping back yard, which for us has always felt like a continuation of our own yard (but much more lovely). That conversation was a symbol in a way of the close community we had on Hickory. And as a part of that family, Jean's absence is a sad and profound loss. Love to the family and friends. Lorrie Gilbert and Larry Fischel.

Dearest Jean, I owe you so much, ever since graduate school with Rhonda, you've always been so close to me, so supportive, with your lovely and special sense of humour, and your creativity, I so cherish your painting of summer in the country side, so many memories, and you always had the right way to encourage and comfort me with your gift for words. And I remember in a special way your visit to Rome with Jeanie. Now I know that it was also your prayers that helped the interventional radiologist that for a while was at a loss on how to operate on me on Saturday. You will keep blessing us all from Heaven Thank you Jean , Thank you Lord for Jean's friendship, may her family be blessed

So sad to learn of your passing, Jean. You leave behind a stronger ship manager contract thanks to your energetic and hard work. Glad to know that you enjoyed travels far and wide and enjoyed much laughter during your retirement. Wayne Leong

Jean was a good friend of mine since 1974 when we were in graduate school together. We discovered that we enjoyed many of the same things and traveled together many times. Our most recent trip was to LA/Pasadena this past New Year's on a tour featuring grandstand seats at the Rose Parade! Jean was moving slowly but certainly enjoyed the parade. I also admired how artistic she was--several very good paintings, and a musical she created for a school that wove together multiple Disney fairy tale movies. Oh my, Jean, I'll miss you!

Jean, I will never forget having you for a neighbor... how I loved sharing Eggnog together at Christmas time (Ethel's recipe); waving hello as I passed by your house; July 4th gatherings on your porch; and that last get-together when I brought my homemade Blueberry Pie over to have a hen party with you and Elizabeth. Love and peace to you... I will remember you forever.
