Pat and I grew up in Tacoma together a block away from each other. We went all through school together. I used to go the the Waage home, her maiden name, for cinnamon rolls and goulash. Both her parents were great cooks. We played baseball at Lowell grade school, went to Jason Lee Jr. High together and then on to high school at Stadium, "The Old Brown Castle" as we all called it.
