For several years during and following that time, she was employed at several local retail outlets including The Edward Malley Co., and Bailey & Staub Sailmakers. Patricia was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and was a past member of the Niantic Bay Yacht Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Virginia C. Brennan and her husband, Tim, of Niantic, with whom she resided, and Kathleen H. Clarke and her partner, Marci Conant, of Troy, N.H.; her sister, Corinne Marshall of Chapel Hill, N.C.; two granddaughters, Kelly D. Benoit and her husband, Aaron, of Quaker Hill and Jessica Dunican and her partner, John W. "JW" Wasylik of Niantic; and four great-grandchildren, Andrew, William, Kennedy, and Ireland Benoit of Quaker Hill.

At Patricia's request, there will be a private family burial at Cypress Cemetery in Old Saybrook.

The family would like to greatly thank the employees of Center for Hospice Care Southeast Connecticut, 227 Dunham St., Norwich, CT 06360, for the wonderful care and support they provided, not only for Patricia, but for all of us. Ginny and Kathy. Sorry for your loss. Knew Pat by knowing Andy. Pat was a kind caring person and Andy a good friend. Like a brother and I miss and think of him often, wondering where and what he would be today. Know that we care.

Nanny, It's only been two days and each day it hurts a little more. I am going to miss you greatly. I think what I will miss the most are your " Nannyisms". I'm also going to miss the Monday morning chats about what had happened over the weekend and what was coming up for the week, your halved and toasted old fashioned doughnuts and most of all your hugs! It's going to be very hard to do this thing called life without you, but I know you'll always be looking down on us, and I know how proud you are of us. I love you more than words can say and I just want to say thank you for never judging and being who you were. Love, Kelly
