Patricia Jencks Obituary

Patricia K. Jencks Marysville Formerly of East Lansing, died August 12, 2010 at the age of 67. Patricia was a long time resident of the Haslett and East Lansing area; a graduate of Haslett High School and Michigan State University where she received her BA and her Educational Specialist degrees. Patricia was a former teacher, tutor and mentor to many young people. She was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Edgar Jencks; former husband Alvin Hurley and brother Roger Jencks. Patricia is survived by her sister Susan (Jon) Awbrey of Rochester Hills, and several cousins including Eldonna Love of Bellevue and Kay (Wesley) Hahn of Grand Rapids. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 15 from 3-7 p.m. at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Wes Emerson officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 16, 1 p.m. at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, MI.
