Not sure what to say?

I met Mr. Canfield many years ago where I work I work for Acme market he came in often we became good friends he was such a soul and he is missed dearly

Mr. Canfield was a fantastic musician and a fabulous teacher. He came to Kennett High School to start a marching band. I was fortunate to be one of the original members of that band. I also was lucky enough to be a part of the dance band he led, playing the piano and even singing with the band. He helped grow my love for big band music which we could experience back in the 50's at the Sunnybrook Dance Hall. Living out in the country made it difficult for me to get to before-school...

Dear Aunt Rose: John, Steve, Jimmie, and I all send you our love and condolences. We so enjoyed our time on Pennsylvania Ave in the manor as neighbors. Sorry we could not be there in person, but we all send our love. Lorrie Sylvester

Dear Rose -- I am so sorry for your loss, Pat was a great guy and I always had a great time around him. He appeared on my radio show at WJBR-AM on many a Saturday morning to talk about his books and life and was always the consummate guest. We'd have a wonderful time talking about his books and telling stories and I was always happy to have him on board. Of course this all started for me many moons ago when Pat was teaching me to play the clarinet and drums. In high school I began playing...

March 8,2013. I just heard about the passing of Mr. Canfield....my very favorite teacher at kennett Square. He was fun, patient and so great with all of us. we actually learned from him. So sad that he he is now playing with the Angels. Prayers to his entire family and thank you for sharing him with us.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow.

So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.

Rose,

Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband and lifelong friend. I was fortunate to have been your neighbor for five wonderful years. Both you and Pat were thoughtful, kind, generous neighbors who delighted in the adventures of my two children. Although my contact with you and Pat was brief, it was profound. Pat's positive always upbeat personality will live long in my memory of him.

I just saw Mr. Canfield in January at a party for my Aunt Virginia. He was in great spirits and enjoyed himself as he always did. I wish his family peace at this difficult time.
