Love to you & yours, dear Patrick, on your newest voyage. Am sorry for your trials w/ illness this past year, but WOW, this obit says it all: you lived an Amazing, Impressive!! life!! I had Dr Cavendish as my Mandarin professor in Pierce College in 1990. I recall he was a respectful, humorous and a well learned man . I enjoyed being his student and collaborator in some small projects. I will never forget him. Peace to him and condolences to the family, Robert Matson
